Delivery of Christmas Hampers - for Refugee & asylum seeker families

Churches across Edinburgh have come together once again this Christmas and sponsored an amazing 200+ Christmas Hampers for refugee, asylum seeker families primarily from Syria and Sudan.

A small team from Central Church, Edinburgh City Mission (Salaam Team), Mustard Seed, St Mungo’s (Teresa Martin) and Scottish Faith’s Action for Refugees are planning and coordinating this initiative.

St Mungo’s have generously sponsored 10 Hampers (£200) and would now like to invite your help with the delivery of these Christmas Hampers – from Sunday 6 December onwards!

What is required?

  • Use of a car to collect and deliver the hamper to a family in SW Edinburgh e.g. Wester Hailes, Sighthill areas

  • We recommend you deliver along with a member of your household or bubble, if possible (not essential).

  • Delivery guidelines provided – and are fully compliant with Covid regulations - NO visiting indoors!

  • A desire to show God’s love and generosity to our New Scot refugee friends and neighbours this Christmas – big heart, warm smile!

The global pandemic has made this year very stressful and isolating for so many. Our prayer is that delivering Christmas hampers is a lovely way to share Hope and Light. Thank you for being involved!
