We’ll be embarking on our fourth adult mission impact trip to the Kingdom of Eswatini next September (leaving on Thursday 17th and returning on Sunday 27th).
Including the two youth trips, over 50 members of St Mungo’s have participated in previous trips since 2015 and I suspect everyone who has been there would tell you of profoundly challenging, inspiring and developmental personal experiences as they learned, served, prayed, built, played, sang, preached and ministered alongside our great friends at Potter’s Wheel Church and Challenge Ministries Swaziland (CMS).
CMS are literally transforming the nation with hundreds of men, women and children benefitting from their extensive programme of social action initiatives, ranging from the stunning mining town-turned-orphan village at Bulembu and the rapidly expanding men’s rehabilitation centre to the transformative effect of the women’s refuge centre and the ever-increasing number of Potter’s Wheel church plants across the entire country.
This trip, (which will be led by Lynne Campbell and myself), is open to all active adult members of St Mungo’s and whilst there are some practical considerations (particularly around some of the surfaces we walk on) there are no fundamental age or health barriers to your participation.
The 10 day trip will cost somewhere in the region of £1300 to £1400 (depending on flight costs); we will stay in safe and comfortable accommodation eating western food and, whilst our main purpose is to bring more and more “first timers” on mission trips, there may be spaces for some “returners”.
Please speak to me or Lynne to learn more and/or obtain an information/application pack. Applications close on Sunday 15 December.
