Sponsorship can change a life today and the lives of the generations that follow. It can impact the community and bring hope to a nation. Sponsorship is an incredible way to change a life. Many of our beneficiaries have been in a position of isolation and have lost hope because they feel that they are on their own. There are a number of possible reasons for this; death or loss of parents or spouses, capture into rebel armies, rape leading to rejection by family. Others are simply too poor to afford an education or to set up a business. Sponsorship not only brings the financial and physical support but also a sense of belonging and community. The various projects make sure there is a caring community aspect and to be connected to a sponsor from another country brings added affirmation.

Starting at £25 per month, you could become a Comfort International Sponsor for a child in Rwanda. As a sponsor you will get regular reports from your sponsored person, along with the opportunity to write to them and send gifts at Christmas. Comfort International usually arranges trips annually and will accommodate sponsorship visits during these trips. Many people from the St Mungo’s congregations have been to visit the projects in Rwanda and DR Congo and a number were meant to be there this month but this was cancelled because of the world coronavirus situation.
