We are delighted to share the very exciting news that Neil and Jo Thompson have accepted an invitation to become joint Senior Pastors of North Berwick Christian Fellowship.

Malcolm personally recommended that they be approached for this fantastic leadership opportunity, and the Thompsons leave us with his full blessing and the enthusiastic support of the Vestry.

For many of us, this news will bring mixed emotions – joy for Neil and Jo, and sadness that they are going.

Needless to say, we are going to miss them greatly. They have contributed so much to St Mungo’s, with Neil worshipping here since childhood and Jo since she came to study in Edinburgh.

It’s likely to be some time during the Spring before we say a formal farewell to Jo, Neil, Ella and Abi so we will find a proper occasion nearer that time to celebrate all they’ve contributed and to bless them on their way.

We will also use the time between now and then to decide how we will cover Neil and Jo’s responsibilities as members of our staff team.
