St Mungo’s Christmas Collection: Thank you for your continued generosity towards the appeals for both Challenge Ministries Swaziland and Starfish Asia. We have now reached almost £8,300 [including gift aid] as of 12 Jan. There is still time to contribute https://www.stewardship.org.uk/pages/christmasappeal2021.
Tearfund’s Afghanistan Emergency Appeal: We have given a further £5,000 to Tearfund’s in country partner to support the work on the ground in Afghanistan. These funds will go towards life-saving relief in the form of food packages, hygiene supplies and winter kits, which include blankets to help people stay warm as the temperatures plummet. Please continue to pray that vulnerable families who have lost everything will have their needs met through this support.
Thank you to those who helped deliver Christmas Hampers to New Scots families in Edinburgh through the work of Edinburgh City Mission. St Mungo’s sponsored 15 hampers and we are truly grateful to the volunteers who distributed these before Christmas to be a blessing to refugees, asylum seekers, and people with no recourse to public funding. Please continue to pray for the ministry of Edinburgh City Mission.
